How To Build Your Brand As A Web Cam Model

When you’re new to webcam modelling, it can be hard to build a clientele right away. There are so many other models that it can feel daunting to even try to get out there, but here at Boudoir models, we want to encourage as many empowered women who want to start modelling to get out there and do it! So, here is a guide to getting your brand as a webcam model established, to attract more clients and generate more income and give you the best experience possible!

  • Make sure your streams are high-quality

Bad video quality is a quick way to deter clients and audiences from consuming your content. Invest in a good camera for higher quality and a fast internet so you don’t have any buffering interruptions while you’re streaming. Also make sure the room you’re using has good lighting.

  • Think about your persona when modelling.

Many models adopt personas or alternate personalities when camming to keep their work life and personal life separate, as well as protect their personal privacy. This new persona can have a new name, personality and even look if you’re up for it. Decide what kind of content you want to produce and go from there, choose a name, personality and look that matches the content. You can try new makeup styles, maybe change your voice a bit, buy a wig if you’d like! All of this attention to detail will definitely help you get a regular audience and clientele base.

  • Think about your set up

Make sure the room you're using is clean, on brand and practical. A messy room will distract anyone tuning in and likely cause them to look elsewhere for a webcam stream. If you struggle to keep your bedroom clean, consider dedicating a different space to your streaming that you keep clean. Also, keep all toys and props you’ll be using nearby your camera when preparing to stream, so you don’t have to walk off and disappear mid-stream to collect them. Make sure the room reflects the persona you have when camming, if it’s sultry and dominatrix, pick a color scheme and decorations to go with that, if it’s submissive and cute, do the same! Developing a consistent brand is a good way to attract audiences.

  • Make your show unique!

In a world where millions of cam shows are simply a click away, you have to make sure your content is unique and compelling. Develop a theme to help you stand out. It can be costumes or cosplay, particular sectors of your show, toys you use, games you play - anything! Just make it yours, put your own spin on it and make sure it’s not being done by loads of other models.

  • Consider Group Video Chats or multi-model shows

This is a great way to engage with audiences that have never seen you before. Get talking to some other cam models and make some friends! People love seeing shows with more than one model, and you can even hold contests with prizes and sell merch while you’re doing it!
